The EC40 roof spoiler dials up the car’s athletic expression. It also boosts aerodynamic efficiency and hides a brake light and rear wiper washer nozzle.
The boot of your EC40 can hold up to 480 litres. Fold down the rear seat backrests to bump that up to 1310 litres, including a 59-litre compartment under the boot floor.

The front seats in the EC40 were designed in collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons to deliver ergonomic support and alleviate pressure points, hunching and shoulder strain.

Rear seat comfort
Ergonomically designed rear seats and generous legroom deliver cabin-wide comfort. Rear seats are designed to the same safety standards as our larger cars, and to help improve the driver’s view out the back, the outer second-row head restraints can fold down at the touch of a button. Upgrade to heat rear seats and keep passengers toasty on colder days.
Convenient storage
Life can be a lot, so the EC40 cabin is designed with practical storage to keep things simple on the road. Lift the centre console armrest to store your things in a small storage area. Drop your phone on the optional charging pad. There’s a removable bin at the back of the console to stow items or for rubbish. Keep your drink within reach using the console’s two cup holders. Pop your laptop or handbag in the large door pockets. And hang takeaways on the dashboard fold-out hook.
Panoramic roof
The fixed panoramic roof spans the front and rear seats, flooding the cabin with natural light. It also minimises glare and blocks about 80 per cent of the sun’s heat.

Child safety recommendations
Our approach to child safety includes rigorous testing based on real-life traffic situations. That’s why we strongly recommend keeping kids in rear-facing child seats until they’re at least four years old.
